Our Goal

To promote aquaculture and fisheries sustainability within Vietnam and to share experiences from Vietnam internationally, primarily to developing countries primarily in Asia-Pacific, Africa and Latin America

Strategic Activities

• Strengthen VINAFIS through the establishment of stronger communication with its branches and its members
• Conduct training courses for government, farmers, fishers and other private sector stakeholders to create awareness on sustainability issues and improve the sustainability of the sector
• Advise public and private sector stakeholders on issues concerning sustainability, in particular on branding and certification.
• Develop and implement research projects and programs on aquaculture and fisheries sustainability.
• Compile reviews on aquaculture and fisheries sustainability and on ways to maximise the sector sustainability
• Support the implementation of co-management efforts in fisheries through training and piloting of innovative market-led mechanisms
